The view of Piccadilly Gardens is taken from the south east corner of the sunken gardens adjacent to Portland Street. The angle is looking towards the intersection of Mosley Street, Market Street and Piccadilly.
There are crowds of people in the gardens; walking dogs, pushing prams and standing chatting. Rylands department store can be seen in the background to the right.
