It is signed on the bottom right by Lowry 1929.
A street scene with a large crowd of figures and some dogs. It is Fairburn's Buildings Passage off Store Stree, a cul-de-sa with passages leading to Great Ancoats Street. A factory and tall chimney can be seen to the left and there are more factories in the background.
